COST

ADVANCE REGISTRATION: $90 / 9 Classes ( Thursdays or Saturdays, paid online via FinnlySport account). If you would like to attend both classes, enroll in both the Thursday and Saturday sessions.

DROP-IN RATE: $15/Class (Paid at front desk in advance of each session)


COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Aspire 2 Level or Higher or Ages 14+ or instructor permission


COURSE DESCRIPTION

Advanced Off-Ice training is for established competitive skaters working at Aspire 2 level or higher, and skaters ages 14 and over. Focus is on preparing for axel and multiple rotation jumps, flexibility, choreographic elements, and body mechanics. Skaters from any Learn to Skate program or figure skating club (or none at all) are welcome.


WHAT TO BRING

Please bring a yoga mat, a pair of athletic shoes, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated!


PRIMARY INSTRUCTOR

AUBURN THOMPSON

Auburn Thompson is a former local, regional, and national competitor and US Figure Skating Gold Medalist. She has been coaching recreational and competitive figure skating for 18 years, specializing in singles, solo ice dance, MIF/skating skills, and off-ice training. She enjoys working with both children and adults. Having studied various dance forms over the years, Auburn is a current member of the nationally recognized competitive dance troupe Aalim Najim, focusing on styling from North Africa, Southeast Asia, Turkey and Greece. With a background as a pianist and music major, she incorporates many years of musical knowledge into choreography and performance.
