Skaters of all ages and levels are invited to join us this holiday season for a revue-style recital. Skaters will prepare a winter holiday themed program and/or a group number (coach supervised) to perform for family and friends. Skaters may also choose to perform in a group finale number with a team of participants. All skaters from any club (or no club at all) are welcome to participate.
REGISTRATION
SOLOS AND SMALL GROUPS
Skaters may skate one or two solos or small group numbers. There are no scheduled rehearsals for your solo program or small group numbers. Skaters will simply schedule time with coaches to work on this ahead of the performance. Solos and small group numbers can be rehearsed with music on any training ice session.
Registration cost is $25 per skater per program. To sign up for solos or small group numbers, please use the link below. You will be asked to select one program ($25), or two programs ($50). REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30. *Once registration has ended, music upload instructions and show order will follow in a separate email to all participants.
GROUP FINALE (OPTIONAL)
Skaters who wish to skate in the group finale MUST register separately at the link below. Opportunities to perform in large group numbers are always eagerly anticipated by skaters, but they require some rehearsal. Skaters will learn choreography and perform together as a team instructed by coaches. Skaters who wish to perform in the group finale number must attend the rehearsals listed below. Cost is $25.
Skaters who wish to skate in the group finale number must attend three required rehearsals on the following dates: November 15, November 22, and November 29. See below for details. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I want to participate, but I don’t have a private coach yet?
Skaters will want to work with a private coach to design and execute a program to their chosen music. If you would like to skate in the Holiday Revue, but you don’t work with a private coach yet, that’s ok! Simply send an email to blazersicecentre@gmail.com. We will get in touch with you to find out a bit about your skater and help you connect with a coach who can help.
How many programs can I perform in the show?
Presently, skaters are limited to 3 programs in total. Many skaters skate only one solo program. Some skaters will choose to perform one solo program and perhaps be part of a duet or trio/or the finale. For now, each skater may skate their first program, one additional solo or duet/trio program, and the finale if they choose. If additional time slots are available after registration has ended, and you/your skater would like to perform an additional solo program, these additional time slots will be available on a first-come-first-served basis by request.
What kind of music can I skate to?
This show is a holiday revue, so all music selections must be winter holiday themed. Music from any traditional winter holiday is welcome. Music can be religious or secular in nature. All musical selections should be family-friendly. We cannot accept music selections which contain profanity or subject matter that is explicit or otherwise unsuitable for young audiences. All music selections must be approved. If you aren’t sure whether your music is appropriate for any reason, simply send your music file along with your inquiry to blazersicecentre@gmail.com. How long should my music be?
Please keep your program to somewhere between 1:40 – 3 minutes or shorter. Try to make your program around the same length as your competition program or shorter. For example, if your normal competition program is 1:50, try to keep your Holiday Revue program around the 1:40 – 2 minute mark. If your normal competition program is 3:30, keep your Holiday Revue program around that same time or shorter. We want everyone to be creative and skate at their level, but we are also mindful of time. If you don’t have a regular competition program yet, shoot for around 1:40.
Do I have to perform in the group finale?
No. Many skaters LOVE performing in large group numbers, but some do not. If you are not available for the listed rehearsal dates, or you would only like to skate a solo program, you do not have to perform in the finale number. Registration for the finale number is separate for this reason.
If I am not part of the group finale, am I required to attend group rehearsal dates listed?
No. Rehearsal dates listed pertain to those who have registered to skate in the finale. It is important for finale participants to attend rehearsal dates because group members will need to learn specific choreography and practice together. On the other hand, solo programs (along with small duets and trios) can be practiced with music on any training ice session. This why these sessions are split into two registration groups.
What does it cost to attend the Holiday Revue as a spectator?
Holiday Revue is free for spectators. Invite your family and friends to cheer you on. Everyone is welcome to watch at no charge. Hot chocolate is available for purchase ($2 per hot chocolate) and the concession stand will be open if you wish to purchase a snack. Parking is free.
