EMILY MCCORMICK

Emily is a figure skating coach, USFS Gold Medalist, and competitive skater. She also recently graduated from the PTA program at OCCC with her AS and works at Physical Therapy Central as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She focuses on combining her knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy and physiology, with her passion for sports medicine and strength and conditioning and her figure skating experience to help skaters become well rounded athletes and avoid injury. She loves working with recreational and competitive athletes of all levels and helping them improve their skills on and off the ice and watching them achieve their goals. Off ice, she concentrates on strength and conditioning, jump technique, proper movement patterns, mobility, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. She believes in building a strong foundation off the ice to help skaters stay injury free and develop faster on the ice.
