ADVANCE REGISTRATION: $200 / 10 Weeks (Paid online via FinnlySport account)

DROP-IN RATE: $25/Class (Paid at front desk in advance of each session)

*Skaters are invited to stay and practice individually on the 1:00-3:00 Public following Super Sunday at no additional charge.

Snowplow 1 or Basic 1 – Aspire 2 / Ages 4-13

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Super Sunday is an introductory training environment designed to set new competitive figure skaters up for success. Focus is on fundamental movement, basic jumps and spins, and creating sustainable habits and training routines. Skaters from any Learn to Skate program or club (or none at all) are welcome. This course is a supplement to Learn to Skate and/or private lessons, not a replacement.

COURSE ITINERARY

11:30 AM – Arrive and Check In

11:45 AM – Off-Ice Movement

12:15 PM – Skates On / Ice Cut

12:30 PM – On-Ice Skills

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Public Skating Session (Included)

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring your skates, a pair of athletic shoes, a yoga mat, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated!

EMILY MCCORMICK

Emily is a figure skating coach, US Figure Skating Gold Medalist, competitive skater, and full-time student in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at OCCC. She focuses on combining her knowledge of biomechanics and the human body with her figure skating experience to help skaters become well rounded athletes and avoid injury. She loves working with recreational and competitive athletes of all levels to help them improve their skills and achieve their goals on and off the ice. Off Ice, she concentrates on jump technique, proper movement patterns, strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, conditioning and body awareness. She believes in helping athletes learn to work hard, have a positive attitude and have fun.
